Van Kirk & Sons Pools & Spas were on hand to donate a sack of unwrapped toys to the Little Smiles charity organization that had multiple toy donation bins throughout the Palm Beach International Equestrian Center where Rob “Vanilla Ice” Van Winkle held his annual holiday block party in Wellington, Florida. With a sack of unwrapped toys in hand, Van Kirk & Sons Marketing Director Jonathan Schulter dropped it off at the Little Smiles booth where Virginia Sinicki from the KVJ Show on 97.9 WRFM Radio was on hand. “It was so nice that Van Kirk & Sons Pools & Spas brought lots unwrapped toys!” Virginia stated.
The festivities were all part of the annual Vanilla Ice Holiday Block Party that recently merged with the Wellington Winterfest! The free holiday event, perfect for the whole family offered a ton of activities for kids like slides, obstacle courses, a giant inflatable snow globe that you can go inside, and of course Santa. For adults, there was a food and wine tasting event, vendor booths and more! The night would not be complete without a special performance from Rob “Vanilla Ice” Van Winkle himself. Not only is he still a music icon, but he now is a home improvement guru, house flipper extraordinaire, and stars in The Vanilla Ice Project on DIY Network, now in it’s 8th season. Van Kirk & Sons Pools & Spas has been featured on the show a multitude of times and was just featured on its newest season which debuted in August!
“It’s really nice to give back, for all of what Vanilla Ice does for the community, Florida, and for our company.” Van Kirk & Sons Pools & Spas Marketing Director Jonathan Schulter says. “I know the Little Smiles charity is close to him and we are happy to donate!” According to their website, Little Smiles helps professionals give kids in their care the chance to be kids during difficult times. Little Smiles helps heal children’s hearts and create little smiles by providing gifts and fun activities to children impacted by serious illness, homelessness or tragedy.
