Earlier his month, Van Kirk & Sons Pools & Spas were presented with a plaque to commemorate 10 years of participation in the Construction Association of South Florida (CASF). Roger Clavelli, Senior Estimator for the Commercial Department who has been with Van Kirk & Sons Pools & Spas for nearly the beginning of it’s existence in 1975, was truly honored. “To be a part of CASF for 10 years just shows how dedicated we are to these industry associations and we will continue to participate for the next 10 years and even more!” Roger stated. Jonathan Schulter, Director of Marketing for Van Kirk & Sons Pools & Spas says more participation for these types of industry associations are going to be the norm moving forward. “When I was hired by Tim and Bobby (Van Kirk) we came to an agreement that more focus has to be payed to these types of events and associations and I think we are making terrific steps in what is already a well-established path!”

According to their website, CASF.org, CASF roots date back to as early as the 1950’s and is a not-for-profit with a stated mission to promote and serve South Florida’s commercial construction industry. CASF prides itself on the business networking, professional education, communications, and outreach programs that it provides to its members. Companies that belong to CASF quickly realize their membership is an invaluable business investment that contributes to the overall success of their businesses. Their website goes on to say, CASF member firms are among the most proactive construction professionals in the industry. They include the region’s top general contractors, subcontractors, and material suppliers, all of whom share a keen interest in the success of the construction industry and their communities in South Florida.

The Construction Association of South Florida has recently created the CASF Foundation, Inc., to expand its efforts promoting careers in the trades. In addition, the Foundation will encompass and expand CASF’s diverse community-service initiatives.
