When we teamed up with Rob Van Winkle, a.k.a. pop culture icon Vanilla Ice, and DIY Network to build a pool for their hit show, The Vanilla Ice Project— we knew that every last stop had to be pulled. To that end, the stellar design team at Van Kirk & Sons got to work on a beautiful freeform-styled pool, replete with lazy river, island tiki hut, spa, wooden bridge, grill, flat screen TVs and more. And when all was said and done, we couldn’t have been more pleased. The Vanilla Ice Project pool is the ultimate combination of family fun, poolside entertaining and, of course, relaxation.
One of the first things we tell all of our customers is to make their pool an extension of their home. This pool is a perfect example of that. Weaving in lush, native landscape elements, a “beach” shelf, and a magnificent lazy river— this project epitomizes the notion of a textbook tropical “oasis.”
