Orlando, Fla. - Van Kirk & Sons, Inc. won the prestigious gold award  in the Spas Built in Conjunction with Pool category during the 2007 Association of Pool & Spa Professionals' International Awards of Excellence ceremony held on Thursday, November 29th at the Rosen Center Hotel, in Orlando, Florida.

The Deerfield Beach based company received the Gold Award for its installation in Royal Palm Beach, FL.  The client's needs were met with a dramatic modern pool design.  Simple elegance was accomplished by using only two materials and two colors.  The vivid contrast of the black interior pool finish with the off white pavers enhances the overall contemporary design and blends the pool water with the natural water background.   The contrast was accomplished by using white 18'' x 18'' imitation keystone pavers, placed on a diagonal to lure the observers' line of sight towards the pool, spa and water front.
